Brown, Crews Win Bouts During Dual Meet Vs. Canada!

Tiara Brown and Franchon Crews won their bouts during a dominant performance by Team USA in a dual competition against Canada Saturday at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO.

Brown competed in international competition for the first time since the 2012 World Championships and won her bout against Sabrina Aubin at 125 pounds by unanimous decision.

Crews was in one of the marquee bouts of the competition as she faced off in the 165 Pound contest against three-time world champion Mary Spencer.  Crews was able to box well and win a four-round unanimous decision.

The third member of the Beltway contingent, Dara Shen, did not compete because no opponent was available at light heavyweight. Shen won by walkover.

US boxers took seven of the nine scheduled bouts in the competition.  The team also included Olympians Marlen Esparza and Queen Underwood.
