Mitchell Hosts Symposium September 27 At Washington Convention Center!

Saturday, September 27 is turning out to be a huge boxing day in the Beltway region.  We've already talked about the two cards in the area -- at Constitution Hall in DC and at the ABC Sports Complex in Springfield, VA.

September 27 is also the weekend of the Congressional Black Caucus and as part of that weekend, there will be a special Sports Symposium that will be held at the Washington Convention Center, West Salon, Room G that will begin at 11 AM.  The symposium will look at life "Beyond The Ring" and will focus on topics like education, health and wellness and bullying.

The host of the symposium will be former WBA Junior Welterweight champion "Little Big Man" Sharmba Mitchell. Joining Mitchell on the panel are fellow world champions Mark "Too Sharp" Johnson and Vincent "The Ambassador" Pettway along with fellow Beltway legends Derrell "Too Sweet" Coley and Anthony "Da Beast" Suggs.

This is a free event and youth groups are encouraged to attend.  For more information, call 301-821-0410.
