Ballard, Roach, Jr. Score First Round TKO's In Plymouth!

On the undercard of the Andrew Farmer-Danny O'Connor bout at Memorial Hall in Plymouth, MA, two more Beltway Boxers scored first-round victories.

Temple Hills, MD light heavyweight D'Mitrius "Big Meech" Ballard scored a first-round stoppage when his opponent, Thomas Gifford of Hot Springs, AR, broke his ankle backpedaling away from Ballard.  Gifford was taken out of the ring on a stretcher.

Ballard is now 7-0, six KO's while Gifford drops to 2-3-1, one KO.


Upper Marlboro, MD lightweight Lamont Roach, Jr. (with his father, Lamont, Sr.) made short work of Rafael Francis of Boston, MA knocking him down three times en route to a first-round TKO. Roach landed a brutal left hook to end the bout.

Roach is now 4-0, two KO's while Francis is now 0-2.

Both boxers are slated to be on a card at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY on December 6.
